What you need to do is jump on top of the head of the chariot, when your feet make contact with the top of its head hit R1 and you'll snap to grab on to the back of its head and jam your weapon down the little exhaust hole on top, it'll 1 shot the chariot and cause it to explode after a few seconds. Make sure to get clear before the explosion!

This in-game note doesn't make any sense. It's written to suggest to the player that the chimney or top of the chariot is some kind of weakpoint. Neither a well aimed bow shot to the chimney, nor a plunging attack to the top (tested this at Fort Laiedd) does any substantial damage. The only way to get rid of these is by attacking the goon driving it in the back.
